It was a crisp morning that quickly warmed up as Scuola Creativa families arrived on Belle Isle for a nature walk along the Detroit River. Stella and Isla had run ahead to a small beach at the water's edge. As I approached, I could hear them talking excitedly about "kindergarten." Wondering what they were saying, I got closer and could hear them exclaiming about finding sea glass - just like we've been talking about in our kindergarten math project focusing on collections! What a great connection they made to the work we've been doing 🙂  They found many pieces to create their own sea glass collections.
